Building a Workout Routine That Lasts
The best program is the one you still follow in six months. Here is how to plan a routine that fits your week instead of fighting it.
Start With the Time You Really Have
Three 45-minute sessions you never miss beat five ambitious ones you skip. Look at your week honestly and book your workouts like appointments.
Pick a Simple Structure
A full-body session three times a week, or an upper/lower split four times a week, covers everything most people need. Keep the exercises the same for four to six weeks so you can see yourself getting stronger.
Track One Number
Write down the weight and reps of your main lifts. Seeing those numbers climb is the most reliable motivation there is.
